A Crowd Sourcing Project to Update a Community Cookbook

 Hi Everybody,

My cousin Penny and I are working on updating a community cookbook put together by Mom.  I am not sure when it was first published, but I am guessing early 1990's.  I can remember my Mom working very diligently to put the cookbook together to sell as a fundraiser for the church.  I remember the family room filled with index cards with hand-written recipes.  

We hope you will join us in this community project to update the cookbook.  We would love for you to try recipes in the book and give us feedback.

  Baklav a Bake: 45 min Prep: 45 hour min Makes: 4 dozen   Syrup (may prepare day in advance)   3 cups sugar 1/2 cup honey 1 1/2 cups water 1 stick cinnamon 1/8 cup fresh lemon juice     Bring sugar and water to a boil in a small sauce pan (1.5 quarts) stirring until dissolved.
